Here’s a little more about them.

What inspired you to join CSM?

As a CSM student in my undergrad, I loved working with the college through BOND and being a Peer Mentor. I love working with students. I may be slightly biased, but this college has amazing students.

What are you most excited about learning or experiencing in your new role?

I’m excited about meeting everyone in the college through my role. I get the unique experience of working with everyone within the college in one way or another. I also absolutely love the communications element of my position and the ability it gives me to share the excellent resources we have available to students.

Fun Fact

One fun fact about me is that I have a cat with thumbs! She’s polydactyl, meaning she was born with extra toes. She is brilliant, so I basically live with a gremlin who can open and close doors.

She also learned how to climb vertical ladders like a human which is goofy to walk in on.

During COVID, I had a lofted bed, and she would climb the ladder in the background of my Zoom meetings!

Name: Megan Valdez

Title: Department Administrative Assistant

Inspiration to join CSM:

I joined CSM because it was an opportunity to work with a dynamic and progressive thinking team.

I am most excited to learn about faculty research and see the demonstrations or events they put together.

Fun fact:

I love Halloween and creating costumes for it.

Personal Interest:

I have a passion for traveling, photography, and playing the flute.
